Michel & The palmreader…

India is the land of spiritual people, searching travellers, yoga, alternative medicines and ofcourse palmreading.

I¡Çve always enjoyed the mystics but Michel, down to earth as he is, thinks all this in nonsense. But i have to admit he is opening up for it. So today we searched for a true Indian Palmreader.

We follow the signs in town and arrive at an old derelict building. A poster on the wall says we have to be on the second floor and that we have to knock on the door of room 19. An old boney man dressed up in a pink dress opens the door. ¡ÆPalm reading¡Ç, we ask? He nodds and invites us in. The somewhat dirty room we enter is a complete chaos and there are papers concerning palmreading scattered all over the floor. The walls are full of poetry and this makes the picture complete.

Michel goes first as he is not into these things and i don¡Çt want to scare him if i go first. Please sit down here in the corner, the man asks him. Then he asks to do some stretching exercises before starting with the readings. The man pulls his fingers several times and then he really starts. Most details we keep for ourselves but the man keeps stressing out that Michel needs adventure in his life and that it is really important for him. Lots and lots more of these truths are being told to him and michel is looking baffled. Ofcourse there are plenty of general truths told. ¡ÆYou like travelling¡Ç for example. Gosh, how did he come up with that??? We are in india, home of die-hard travellers!! But we are impressed anyway.

Too bad he didn¡Çt stop at this point. Up till now Michel was impressed. But then the old man starts looking for little stones and finishes it off by blessing them with holy water and holding it in front of a picture of ¡Æhis own guru¡Ç. This is too much for Michel and i can see he is holding his breath not to laugh. Finally we are asked to experience our third dimension. Mmmmhhh… no thanks dude.. this is way past our borders already….!
