We had slept better then we expected and headed to the Iranian Consulate. Oh bummer…. its Friday and that means most offices are closed. Fortunately they are open on Saturdays so we can pick it up tomorrow, we hope. It is not regular to apply for a visa in Istanbul and pick it up somewhere else. This means it could be that our visa is not ready and we have to wait another week. Let’s hope not!

As we are about to cross the border with Iran, it is time for Elles to cover her hair as local rules imply for women to do so, even tourists. So it was time to find out what the latest fashion was and time to buy her a present. We walked around the main street and noticed one colour to be very popular; Black!

Fortunately for Elles we found something better near the grand mosque. The latest colour appears to be purple. Time to start shopping! Unfortunately, nothing but black available in the shops!
