The oracle of Delphi

The ancient greek had chosen Delphi as the center of the Universe. According to the Mythology, Zeus released two eagles at both end of the universe and they met here. Delphi was also the home of the famous oracle, a priest who had answers for almost everything. Reason for us to visit the sanctuary of the oracle and enjoy the leftovers of ancient greece. We rented mountain bikes to explore the area and visited the home of the Oracle of Delphi. The Oracle, in ancient times was used to get divine guidance. She was so powerful that battles were fought over her and the place. Now what is left is some ruins in a beautiful setting on mount Parnassos. We wandered through the ruins, enjoyed the amfi theater and were marveled by the state of the stadium. When visiting the ruins of the Oracle, we decided to ask her guidance… Unfortunately she wasn’t there… probably on holidays herself!
