Kiskalesi

Kiskalesi is mentioned in the Lonely Planet as the most attractive beach on the coast east of Alanya. A fortress in the sea at 150 meters from the beach makes this place very special. We had to see this for ourselves. Attractive it is as it attracts many, many locals. The beach and the sea were packed but nonetheless great for a swim. We had heard you could swim to the fortress so we had to try. Getting there was relatively easy but back was more difficult due to a minor current. The fortress was nice to visit but the hot stones made it difficult to walk around. The views on the other hand were very nice. That evening we tried the turkish pizza and enjoyed the view on the castle which was beautiful lit up.
